  11. You can use a proxy server to access the Internet from behind a <A
  12. HREF="http://www.cis.ohio-state.edu/hypertext/faq/usenet/firewalls-faq/faq.html">firewall</A>.

  16. <P><LI>From the Edit menu, choose Preferences.
  17. <P><LI>In the Proxy Server field, type the domain name and port
  18. number of the server used to bypass the gateway. See your system
  19. administrator for details.<P>

  26. <P><LI>From the Edit menu, choose Preferences.
  27. <P><LI>In the Bypass Proxy On field, type a comma-delimited list of
  28. systems, domains, and ports for which Mosaic should not use the proxy
  29. server.
  30. <P>For example, "spyglass.com,:80" means to not proxy any accesses to
  31. machines inside the spyglass.com domain and not to proxy accesses on
  32. port 80 to any system.
  33. <P>This field is ignored if no proxy server is specified in the Proxy Server field.
